Who we are:

Centrally located in the Coopersville/Allendale area, OCHA offers homeschool athletes the opportunity to compete in interscholastic sports and play games against other homeschool and private school teams. In the realm of youth sports, families need an option for their homeschoolers to play sports through high school without having to compromise all of their precious family time and finances to give them that opportunity.

Our Directors and Coaches are volunteers who love the Lord, the kids, and basketball! We are parents or family members of athletes and we do this joyfully to provide a program that keeps our priorities in check. We love to win and we believe that winning is more than just a number on a scoreboard!

Where some of the opposing teams we will be playing do require some travel, OCHA is not a travel team.  We do our best during scheduling to keep travel distance for games under 1.5 hours. And where we love to have fun, OCHA isn't a rec team either.  We're somewhere right in the middle!  Team sizes are managed so that all players get opportunity to develop their skills and experience through practice and game situations.

We believe that sports should be both competitive and fun! Every athlete on our teams should have equal opportunities to develop and grow their skills, regardless of natural ability or past experience with travel or recreational leagues. We value positive attitudes, good work ethic, skill-building, confidence, and joy in the game. Whether your child is brand-new to organized sports or already has years of experience, we are excited to provide a team environment that can be the right fit for your family.
